Beyond the race, beyond the months of training and effort that goes into running a marathon, the whole reason I even contemplated running was to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society in memory of Dad. And regardless of the fact that I cannot run, remembering that we’ve all almost accomplished what I originally set out to do – raise $4,000 for the Mass chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma society – is the true victory of these past months.
I’ve recently sent in a bundle of checks and money from my fundraiser – a bit over $1,000 – so that, combined with the current online total is about $3,205 (plus a bit more). It’s safe to say that I’m only $700 away from my goal amount, which is awesome.
Money can continue to come in until the end of the month, so there’s still a chance to reach $4,000.
Thank you all so much for your support, and I’ll be sure to let you all know how race day goes this Monday!

Amanda,
The koza Family is so proud of you! Go get them! Your Dad was one of our favorite people. We still can not beleive he is gone! If it wasn’t for him and your Mom we would never have experience Maine! We had great fun with them and you when you were little.
I found this great photo of you and Bridget playing on the beach when you were about 4.
Enjoy your run!
Love,
Mary Beth
Amanda,
I just realized you are not running but we are still extremely proud of you and know you will make your goal. Enjoy your last days of college!
